During the song (where you see three asteriks***) there is a simple
little fill that is basically the following over and over again:

  e---0---0---0---0---
  b-0---0---0---0---0- etc...
  g-------------------

This Key to this though is to Crescendo/Decrescendo it.  I had perfect
results with a volume pedal<g>.

And finally, the same fill is played 3 or so times during the first
chorus and 2nd bridge, with distortion:

  e---0---0---0-
  b-0---0---0---

Verse:

You can find a way to stop thinking 'bout it
When every minute is a lifetime
The pain will go away you won't believe but it's true
       E         A                B  /A  \B
Just count the inches on your lifeline

Bridge:

And I hate to be the one telling you everything's okay
Cause what kind of god would give you life, and take it all away?

Chorus:

Oh, but I don't want to be in your life
  If you don't
And I don't wanna wake in your arms
  If you won't
Be alive when I need you the most
Not to say that I won't
Greive a little when you pass away

  When you pass away ***

2nd Verse:

You can find a place and start thinking 'bout it
When every second is the right time
   The pain will go away
You won't believe but it's true
Just count the inches on your lifeline

Bridge:

And I hate to be the one telling you everything's okay
Cause what kind of god would give you life, and take it all away?

2nd Chorus: (No muting this time)
<Also sounds like the Lead is picking them out. see tab below>

Oh, but I don't want to be in your life
  If you don't
And I don't wanna wake in your arms
  If you won't
Tell me everything you needed to be
  Is everything that I am
  Everything that you fear
  About me
What you fear about me ***

(What's this called, the Refrain?):

   E                    A
You'll come back for all the wrong reasons
   E                   A
Maybe your life was out of season
   E                       A                      B     A
You can't breathe when you don't have a reason to die
And someday soon when the memory has faded
We'll defend all the lives we once hated
And I'll be there, baby glad that you made it alive

<Back to verse rythm>  ***

I don't wanna be in your life
I don't wanna be in your life
I don't wanna be in your life

During the second Chorus it sort of sounds like the Lead
is picking out the chords like so:

e---------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------
G-------9-------------------------------
D-----9---9------7--------9--------7----
A---7----------7---7----9---9----7---7--
E------------5--------7--------5--------

Key:

X=Palm muting
d=down stroke
u=up stroke
/= slide up
\=slide down
